Overview
betterTV brings Emby, Jellyfin and IPTV (Xtream Codes, M3U, XMLTV) into one app. The same film on Emby in 4K, on Jellyfin in 1080p and on your IPTV panel shows up as one card; Play takes the best picture and, among equals, the server that measures fastest to your TV.
StreamHeal™ is the part no other player has, as far as we know. IPTV streams break: servers drop the connection, send scenes again and leave holes in their archives. StreamHeal catches those faults before they reach the screen, so live TV and catch-up play straight through and flow from one programme into the next.
The guide repairs itself — gaps, overlaps and zero-length shows are fixed and filled from a second guide. Recordings need no tuner: your Mac saves a programme from the catch-up archive and every TV in the home plays it. Logins stay on your device.
